As we all get used to the change in season, where we’re greeted with more daylight, brighter days and more enviable calendars, there’s no bigger springtime celebration than Easter.
School’s out for the kids, making it an opportune time for a family getaway. Cornwall is one of the UK’s most favoured staycation spots, and while Easter is a popular time to visit the area, it’s not the height of season — meaning places and events are often a little more accessible.
In 2026, Easter Sunday falls on 5 April (with Good Friday on 3 April and Easter Monday on 6 April).
We round up seven brilliant, family-friendly Easter events happening in Cornwall in 2026.
Where: The Castle grounds, Bude

Spend Easter Monday browsing an artisan food market and grabbing lunch from a line-up of street food stalls in the beautiful setting of The Castle grounds. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly day out in the heart of Bude — ideal if you want something festive without committing to a full attraction.

Easter Pottery Painting: Mon 6 – Tue 7 April 2026
Drop in for hands-on craft sessions (including clay modelling and seasonal makes), or book in for an Easter-themed pottery painting session and take home a one-off creation.

English Heritage’s Easter Adventure Quests return at sites across the country — including Pendennis Castle in Cornwall. Expect clue-hunting around the grounds, traditional games, and a chocolatey reward at the end. The quest is £2 per child on top of normal admission.

Ideal for a mixed-weather plan: the museum’s Easter holiday programme runs across the school break, alongside its galleries, boats, and hands-on areas.

The Minack’s jaw-dropping cliffside setting is always worth the trip — and Easter is a great time to catch a family show while you’re there. Giants runs in early April as part of the 2026 season.

Cornwall’s iconic Eden Project run fantastic family-friendly activities and events throughout the year, and Easter is no exception. It’s a great all-weather option, but do check what’s on closer to the time as details can change year to year.
New for 2026, new Giant Marble Runs! This all new permanent play experience, features over 100 metres of interactive track spread across eight unique runs. Pick up a wooden marble when you arrive (£5 deposit), and follow it as it twists, turns and tumbles on a journey through Eden’s sprawling gardens.

Paradise Park in Hayle is well known for its annual Easter challenge. The Easter Golden Egg Challenge quiz will put skills to the test, and once you’ve completed the exercise, claim your tasty chocolate reward! An award-winning wildlife sanctuary, Paradise Park is home to an incredible 1,200 birds, plus red pandas, penguins, red squirrels, and Asian otters. And if the Cornish weather isn’t playing ball, the huge indoor Jungle Barn play centre will keep spirits high.
