Cottages with pools in Cornwall

For a private pool at the property, compare Treleigh in St Ives for indoor swimming, or Libertine near Praa Sands, Daymarker near Fowey and Lantic Barn near Fowey for outdoor pools. Confirm the opening arrangements for your dates.

Treverra Cottage near Rock shares its outdoor pool with the main farmhouse. Court Farm near Bude has a pool shared across its holiday accommodation, with booked sessions for individual cottages and some open-swimming time. A private session is different from having a pool exclusively for your entire stay.

Partner options include Treheyl in Newquay, which has a seasonal outdoor plunge pool, and Heron House, whose description lists a private pool. Check the partner’s current pool details and booking terms. A plunge pool is not necessarily suitable for swimming lengths.

Heating and opening dates are separate questions. Treleigh lists a heated indoor pool. Libertine has a heated outdoor pool, with a warning that bad weather can lower the water temperature. Neither description should be treated as a guaranteed temperature or confirmation of access on every date.

Daymarker and Lantic Barn list heated outdoor pools open from Easter until September. Treverra’s facilities give late May to the end of September for its shared outdoor pool; an out-of-season Jacuzzi request does not establish that the swimming pool will be open.

Court Farm’s pool information describes its indoor pool as open all year and heated to around 30°C, with an advance-booking rota. Confirm your chosen cottage’s entitlement and the arrangements for your stay. The Whalesborough resort information distinguishes its year-round indoor pool from its summer outdoor pool for partner cottages such as Eagle’s Nest, Venners, Westcotts and Moleyns.

Porthminster Mews 2 lists use of St Ives Harbour Hotel’s spa facilities. 8 Salt lists four complimentary spa passes, although the apartment sleeps six. These are off-site shared hotel facilities, not private pools at the cottages.

Check the number of passes, the people covered, how admission works and any extra cost before booking. Children’s swimming sessions and access to other spa facilities have separate restrictions. Use the hotel’s current spa information and confirm your cottage’s pass arrangements directly. Being near a hotel with a pool does not by itself include admission.

Check children’s age limits, supervision rules, pool depth and entry steps, whether the pool area can be secured, and any booking rota or opening hours. A cover or enclosed garden does not establish that a pool is safe for unsupervised children. If access needs matter, ask about the route to the pool, changing facilities and the way into the water.

Shared resorts and hotel spas may have adults-only periods, restricted family sessions or separate rules for hydrotherapy pools. Check whether pool use and heating are included in your quote, whether passes cover every guest, and whether you need to reserve sessions. Where a charge or rule is not stated, ask the booking provider or owner before committing. Seasonal pool closure does not necessarily mean the cottage itself is unavailable.

A swimming pool, plunge pool, hot tub and bathroom spa bath offer different experiences. For a soak rather than a swim, browse Cornwall hot tub cottages and check private or shared use. If you are bringing a dog, confirm the cottage’s policy and the rules around the pool separately. Dog-friendly accommodation does not imply that dogs may enter the water.
