About
A stunning example of contemporary Cornish design, Treleigh overlooks Porthmeor beach and the town of St Ives, its cliff-top location affording breathtaking sea views across the island and out to the famous bay. St Ives with its Blue Flag beaches, art galleries and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk away and the footpaths to Zennor and the Cornish coast begin by the front gate.
Conceived by internationally renowned architect Barrie Briscoe and developed by Charles Griffiths, Studio West Architects, Treleigh is an innovative house which captures an abundance of the famous St Ives light, and the sense of space and size really does set this property apart.
Split across three floors, this thoughtfully designed eco-house sleeps 10 across five fabulous bedrooms. The bedrooms are all situated on the ground floor, all boasting direct access to the incredible wrap-around sea-view terrace.
The master bedroom features a spoiling superking bed, stunning sea views and its own ensuite, there are two flexible ensuite rooms which can be set up as superkings or twins, there’s a spacious double complete with coastal vistas and access to the family bathroom. The fifth bedroom is a remarkable space, a former art studio, this inspiring bedroom features a double bed, and 180-degree sea views. A bed-settee and cots provide extra sleeping space, if required.
Upstairs on the first-floor, guests will appreciate the open-plan living area with cosy inset woodburner, but for sunnier days, guests will enjoy the inside/outside living as it opens out onto two balcony decks with outdoor furniture. Meanwhile the comprehensive kitchen, as well as a dining area, features ample space to accommodate large groups.
A range of lavish touches are to be discovered inside the house, including a stunning indoor 14m heated swimming pool with hydro massage jet and integrated hot tub, plus a rejuvenating sauna. The built-in Sonos Sound System, SKY TV, and even a home cinema, all contribute to the feel of modernity and exclusiveness within the property. Outside you can relax around the natural reed pond, dine on the sea view terrace or listen to the water falling in the sunken garden. And there’s plenty of parking, which is a luxury for St Ives.
Treleigh is a stunning example of what can be achieved with contemporary Cornish properties and no expense has been spared to ensure your stay here will be the most complete and luxurious of its kind.

Please note that care must be taken when driving up or down Burthallan Lane to Treleigh as it is narrow. It is wide enough for cars and transit size vans but the hedge overhangs the lane so can brush against wider vehicles.  There is granite stone behind the hedge.

Activities
St Ives is located in West Cornwall. There is plenty to do in St Ives and it is a fantastic location if you plan on exploring a little further afield too.
For beach lovers, there are plenty to choose from… Porthmeor Beach, Porthgwidden Beach, Godrevy, Porthkidney Beach or Carbis Bay to name but a few. Families and couples will enjoy relaxing on the sand or playing in the water. St Ives Surf School offers sessions for surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering. All great fun! If you prefer to stay a little drier though, St Ives Boat Trips run sea-life safaris to see the local dolphins and seals!
One of St Ives most well-known attractions is the Tate St Ives, which is one of only four Tate galleries in the UK and is a haven for lovers of modern art. Artists praise St Ives for its beautiful light and it has inspired many pieces.
The cobbled streets of St Ives are home to many shops, galleries and cafes and most businesses are small independents or artisans. Check out Cornwall Soapbox for handmade soaps and aromatherapy products made in Cornwall!
When visiting St Ives, there are many bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. Porthminster Kitchen regularly receives great reviews and has a strong focus on fresh local food or head to Blas Burgerworks for a tasty handcrafted burger using ingredients sourced from the area.
St Ives sits at the bottom of the A30, so if you are looking to explore more of the Cornwall coast, then this is a great base and you can book ferries for day trips to the Scilly Isles from Penzance (only a 20 minute drive away).
Our editor’s blog on St Ives shares her favourite ways to spend your time in the jewel in Cornwall’s crown. Read more, here.

Doesn't get any better!
A stunning house in a beautiful location. Faultless. Views over St Ives bay are exceptional but more than enough to do in the house on a rainy day with an indoor pool and home cinema.

Once in a lifetime holiday!
The house is stunning and everything in it is high quality. The pool and hot tub were a dream, especially with the sonos sound system on, as was the cinema room. The entire house is so well thought through, and despite its size, has a cosy feel to it. The location is fab too. The views are beautiful, the coastal path is right on the doorstep and St Ives town is only a 10 minute walk away. This is a truly special place and we feel very fortunate to have been able to stay here.

The best views ever!
What a wonderful house and very well managed as a holiday let. We had a wonderful time and there was always something to do if it rained with the swimming pool and cinema room. The views over st Ives will be something I will remember for ever.
