Treleigh a luxury St Ives secret retreat with stunning sea views
A stunning example of contemporary Cornish design, Treleigh overlooks Porthmeor beach and the town of St Ives, its cliff-top location affording breathtaking sea views across the island and out to the famous bay. St Ives with its Blue Flag beaches, art galleries and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk away and the footpaths to Zennor and the Cornish coast begin by the front gate.
Conceived by internationally renowned architect Barrie Briscoe and developed by Charles Griffiths, Studio West Architects, this innovative house captures an abundance of the famous St Ives light and the sense of space and size really does set this property apart.
This thoughtfully designed eco-house sleeps 10 comfortably in five bedrooms, 2 x double, 3 x super king/twin with four bathrooms. A bed-settee and cots provide extra sleeping space. There is parking for 5 cars. The first-floor open plan living area opens out onto two balcony decks with outdoor furniture and has a comprehensive kitchen as well as a dining area with ample space to accommodate large groups.
A range of luxury facilities inside the house including a stunning indoor heated swimming pool, with a hot tub and sauna, an integrated Sonos Sound System, 42″ SKY Television, Wi-Fi and a home cinema complement the feel of modernity and exclusiveness within the property. Outside you can relax around the natural reed pond, dine on the sea view terrace or listen to the water falling in the sunken garden.

Please note that care must be taken when driving up or down Burthallan Lane to Treleigh as it is narrow. It is wide enough for cars and transit size vans but the hedge overhangs the lane so can brush against wider vehicles.
St Ives offers superb sandy beaches, ideal for swimming and surfing, while for those wishing to explore further afield, there is a coastal path in both directions and many beautiful coves, headlands and landmarks (Cape Cornwall, Lands End, Sennen Cove, St Michael’s Mount) within easy driving distance.

A stunning house in a beautiful location. Faultless. Views over St Ives bay are exceptional but more than enough to do in the house on a rainy day with an indoor pool and home cinema.
The house is stunning and everything in it is high quality. The pool and hot tub were a dream, especially with the sonos sound system on, as was the cinema room. The entire house is so well thought through, and despite its size, has a cosy feel to it. The location is fab too. The views are beautiful, the coastal path is right on the doorstep and St Ives town is only a 10 minute walk away. This is a truly special place and we feel very fortunate to have been able to stay here.
What a wonderful house and very well managed as a holiday let. We had a wonderful time and there was always something to do if it rained with the swimming pool and cinema room. The views over st Ives will be something I will remember for ever.
