Light-filled and airy throughout, it offers a serene space to unwind, with crisp white wooden floors adding to the fresh, coastal feel. It’s also brilliantly positioned, just a minute’s walk from Mousehole Harbour, putting you right in the heart of the village while still enjoying a peaceful retreat to come home to.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for easy self-catering, with modern appliances and plenty of workspace for everything from lazy breakfasts to dinner with friends. A large dining table seats six comfortably, making it the perfect spot for long meals, board games and holiday planning.
There are three stylish bedrooms, each finished with a clean, sophisticated feel. The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with luxury linens and enjoys a lovely rooftop sea view. Bedroom two is a generous twin, ideal for friends sharing or children, while the third bedroom is a bunk room – perfect for younger guests.
Downstairs, the lounge is warm and welcoming, with a crackling miniature log-burning stove that adds a cosy glow on cooler evenings. The room remains bright and airy, with comfortable seating for relaxed downtime, plus the large TV, and a selection of board games make for easy nights in.
Practical touches are thoughtfully included. A utility room sits just off the kitchen, alongside an additional modern downstairs bathroom – particularly handy for families or beach-day returns.
Outside, Trevene benefits from a surrounding garden, accessible via French patio doors from the kitchen or through the utility room side door. Outdoor seating is provided, creating a lovely spot for morning coffee, sunny lunches or al fresco suppers.
Parking is available for one small to medium-sized car. With its stylish interiors, cosy log burner, handy outdoor space and superb central setting close to the harbour, Trevene is a brilliant choice for a comfortable, easy-going stay.

Activities
Situated south of Penzance on the west coast of Cornwall is Mousehole. Mousehole’s history is that of a bustling fishing port up until about a hundred years ago. Today, Mousehole welcomes tourists to its quaint village streets that invite you to explore what is around the next corner. Trevene is the perfect place to discover Mousehole and its surrounding neighbours from.
If you enjoy eating out then you will want to sample the locally sourced food at 2 Fore Street, who pride themselves on using the freshest Cornish seafood. Or if you prefer to cook at home in your self-catering cottage then why not forage your own ingredients with Wild Walks Southwest, who will guide you to the very best in local wild foods.
For those who have found their sea legs why not hop on board with Cormorant Cruises to explore the coastline of Mousehole from another perspective? If the sea isn’t your thing, then your holiday cottage is the perfect place to get ready for a day at the beach and there are plenty to choose from. Mousehole Beach is sandy and within the harbour walls, or a short drive out can find out Newlyn Tolcarne Beach, Penzance Promenade Beach, Wherrytown Beach or Battery Rocks Beach.
Every Cornwall holiday calls for a spot of gift shopping and Mousehole’s small back streets offer plenty of galleries and shops. Check out Sandpiper Gallery, where you will be sure to find a print to remember your holidays with.
Your Mousehole holiday cottage is also a perfect point to plan a trip to the Scilly Isles from and when you are tired after a hard days fun, your self-catering cottage is the best place to come back to, to rest weary bones and relax.
If you are planning a winter getaway, then it is well worth considering visiting in December when the village puts on a wonderful display of Christmas lights. The harbour has floating light displays and opening night usually sees the local choir singing festive songs, a lantern parade and much more besides.

Seriously a gem!
Such a lovely and very comfortable home. Gorgeous garden too. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We adored our multi week stay here with our toddler. It’s a very family friendly house and a charming little village. Would recommend a stay here for sure!
