Newquay car park options & information

UPDATED 19/05/2025

Car parking in Newquay isn’t as troublesome as some of the other tourist hotspots, but as with any popular Cornwall town or village, it’s always worth planning ahead when it comes to travel. On-street parking is highly unlikely anywhere in peak season, so we’d recommend choosing one of the many long stay car parks in Newquay.

If you’re looking for a short stay car park in Newquay, there’s a Council-run car park on Fore Street (44 spaces). As of 2025, parking here costs £1.30 for up to 30 minutes, £2.30 for up to 1 hour, or £4.60 for 1 to 2 hours. It’s not the most cost-effective way to park, and it’s likely you’ll need more time—so one of the long stay options may suit better.

Many of Cornish Secrets’ properties come with their own parking space, click here to see our Newquay self-catering accommodation.

Long stay car parks Newquay

Most of the car parks in Newquay are long stay, which are great for days spent at Newquay’s beaches. Cornwall Council operates a number of car parks in the town, and the Countywide Rover ticket is the best value if you’re staying for a week or planning to visit multiple locations. Costing £63, it covers many long stay Cornwall Council car parks in Newquay and beyond, and is fully electronic so there’s no need to display a ticket.

Rover tickets are available to buy in advance online, by calling 0300 1234 222 or emailing Cornwall Council.
