Portreath is far from a metropolis, which is a large part of its charm, so when it comes to Portreath shops you’re somewhat limited. In the centre itself you’ll find a couple of surf shops, including Bodyboard HQ, the UK number one bodyboarding shop, where you’ll find wetsuits and surfing paraphernalia and Timewarp Belly Boards, hand crafted in Portreath Cornwall from the finest quality marine ply.

There’s a small cluster of shops on The Square which include a bakery, café, hairdressers and a convenience store with a Post Office. There’s a Tesco Extra in Carne Brea a few miles away and an Aldi, too.

A mile-and-a-half away, the popular Portreath factory shoe shop, Schoose sells a wonderful selection of shoes, womenswear and accessories. There’s often plenty of generous discounts, so it’s worth stopping by for a browse.

Williamson’s Factory shop

Another outlet shop nearby is Williamson’s Factory Shop. Full of lovely things for the home, from beautiful bedding to fluffy towels, this discounted interiors shop near Portreath stocks some fantastic brands, including Sophie Allport, Orla Kiely and Christy. Whether you’re looking for a plush new cushion, or treating yourself to a candle, there’s plenty to peruse here.

Trevenson Moor

Less than 3 miles from Portreath, Trevenson Moore is more than your run-of-the-mill garden centre. Offering a curated retail experience at its flagship centre at Tehidy, you’ll want to purchase it all for your home and garden. From gorgeous greenery to fancy furnishings, it’s a shopper’s treasure trove.

Trevaskis Farm

In Cornwall a trip to a farm shop is a rite of passage. A 15-minute drive from Portreath, Trevaskis Farm is worth a visit. Stocking not only the finest fresh fruit and vegetables, butchery, fishmongers, deli, dairy and bakery, but everything you need for your weekly shop with cupboard essentials. There’s also a wonderful café onsite for when hunger strikes.
