Known by locals for its excellent coaching with barrel loads of fun, Big Blue Surf School is found based in their mobile surf unit in the car park at the popular Summerleaze Beach.
Over 15 years, over thirty thousand people of all ages have surfed with Big Blue. Not just a summer sensation, the surf school is loved by locals and visitors. It is open all year round, and in the cooler weather provides extra thick wetsuits to keep you toasty warm.
Surfing is to be enjoyed here, where all ability levels are catered for by the qualified coaches/surf lifeguards. A high coach to student ratio is the norm at Big Blue. With a good mix of super-patient male/female coaches, the friendly team will put you at your ease while providing quality surf coaching.
For a great family day out (you can book a family session with your own coach) or a session for the kids to try out a new sport, Big Blue is the place for you.
Everyone should be able to surf, so there are coaches specially trained to work one-to-one with adults and children with disabilities and autism, if any of your group needs special support.
