For a wonderful stay near to the dramatic historic UNESCO site, Charlestown, look no further than this superb house which sleeps eight to ten.

Light and airy, the house was fully refurbished as tailor-made holiday accommodation in 2017, so has everything you will need for a perfect stay.  It benefits from extensive sea views with your own specially gated access to a private beach to escape the crowds.

Feeling its light and airy vibe as soon as you enter the entrance hall, its clean white lines feel fresh and uncluttered, yet homely.  Flawless for family or friend groups, there is plenty of parking as befits this spacious accommodation.

Complete with a large streamlined open-plan kitchen/dining/living area, the superb, high-quality/specification furnishings and equipment are perfectly placed to make your stay complete.

The gleamingly fresh modern kitchen has two Neff ovens, an induction hob large American-style fridge-freezer and a large wine fridge, to make wining and dining an utter pleasure.  Look at the view as you cook.

For the ultimate in relaxation, the seating area of three comfortable double sofas is cosily arranged around the centrepiece fireplace, with its modern woodburner, while retaining views to the balcony and beyond.  Perfect to open up on warm, sunny days.

Outside is a large paved patio area with a substantial garden and enviable views to the sea, perfect for al fresco meals or a barbecue on light summer evenings.  Most of the rooms also have extensive sea views to wake up to.

There are three double bedrooms, one with an ensuite, in addition to the relaxing fully-tiled family bathroom.  Youngsters will be enthralled by the child’s bedroom with its own ‘batcave’ and ‘superhero’ murals, making for hours of imaginative play fun.  Downstairs is a room with ensuite shower-room which is designed for disabled access, so everyone is welcome to enjoy this fabulously designed interior in this rather special location.  This room has a sofa bed so can also be used as a cosy snug or bedroom depending on guests requirements.

Nearby Charlestown, which is within walking distance, is an example of a late Georgian port which has been popularised by the TV series, Poldark.  With a village feel, it is a place to visit again and again.

The south of Cornwall holds many gems and Charlestown on The Rame Peninsula is one of them!  Poldark fans will recognise this small harbour village, which is regularly featured in the hit BBC series.  It was originally built in the 1700s to export copper and import coal and a visit to the harbour feels like stepping back in time.  The harbour has places to eat out, including a pub and there are also some craft shops to browse or purchase a souvenir from.

You can reach the seashore in Charlestown if you  fancy a paddle but if you are looking for a sandy beach, away from the crowds then Hemmick Beach is off the beaten track but well worth a visit of you can get there.  Small but perfectly formed with sheltered spots for a picnic or a little bit of lolling in the sun.  A more popular beach for ease of access is Par Sands, a long stretch of sandy beach suitable for all the family.

A couple of miles away is the popular seaside harbour of Mevagissy, which has quaint little streets lined with shops, galleries and cafes.  On sunny days, grab some traditional fish and chips and eat them harbourside, while watching the fishing boats bob up and down.  If you enjoy walking then you can easily access the South-West Coastpath from Mevagissy and walk back to Charlestown taking in the stunning Cornish coast on the way.

Garden lovers won’t want to miss a trip out to Pinetum Gardens, a 30 acre estate made up of different areas including water gardens, Japanese gardens and more besides.  Also high on the list for garden lovers are The Lost Gardens of Heligan a lost estate, only rediscovered in the 1990s and lovingly restored to their former glory.

Other nearby attractions include the Wheal Martin, Cornwall’s china clay museum, catch the ferry from Mevagissy to Fowey, Caerhays Castle and much more on top. There is something for everyone on this stretch of the south coast in Cornwall.

Booking fee:  There is a non-refundable booking fee of £28 per booking

Damage deposit:  A refundable damage deposit of £300 is payable.  This will be held until the end of the occupancy and will be returned to the guest within 2 weeks of departure, subject to deductions for any damage to property caused during the occupancy.
