Step into Ocean heights, a charming, detached holiday home in Porthtowan just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Over two floors, this property combines cosy home comforts with contemporary modern designs to create a wondrous space. The property’s open plan layout provide a spacious, bright and airy feel that makes a stay in Ocean heights a memorable one.

Sleeping six, this property is comprised of three bedrooms, the first of which features a king sized bed, wardrobe and ensuite with shower, basin, and WC. The master bedroom is decorated in neutral tones, emphasising the calming and cosy atmosphere that is required after a day exploring the Cornish seaside. The second bedroom has either twin sized beds or they can be pushed together to make a super king. The third also has a king sized bed. Both the second and third bedrooms have clothes rails for storage.

The open plan living room features a kitchen and dining area, providing a cozy space for relaxation. Guests can enjoy modern amenities including electric underfloor heating on the ground floor and central heating on the first floor, along with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher.

Entertainment options include a Smart TV and WiFi. Off-road parking is available for 2 cars, and outside, there is a lawned enclosed back garden with a patio with dining table and chairs.

Porthtowan is a coastal village resting on West Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, renowned for its surfing, Blue flag beach and its tidal pool. Situated between St Ives and Newquay, this thriving community offers an excellent range of local facilities including a local store with post office, fish and chip shop, ice cream parlour, surf hire shop, beach shop and a selection of pubs and restaurants. Porthtowan is a sought after area due to its proximity to the beautiful north coast beaches, nearby coastal paths and former mine stacks and engine houses which dot the landscape

Outside:

  • At the rear there is an enclosed lawn and patio area with table and chairs.  Charcoal BBQ available for use.
  • Private driveway which fits two vehicles.

Just moments from the award-winning Blue Flag Porthtowan beach and its fabulous facilities, you could easily spend the week here. There’s also plenty of eateries down by the beach. At low tide you can take a walk east from Porthtowan to the neighbouring beach at Chapel Porth. A National Trust-owned beach, overlooking Chapel Porth is the dramatic ruins of the famous Wheal Coates engine house.

The local area is steeped is mining history with the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site of Heartlands on your doorstep with a museum, gardens and cafe. Two miles away, St Agnes has a host of good eateries, cafes and pubs as does the cathedral city of Truro, Cornwall’s only city.

The pretty sandy beach at Portreath, with a stream running down to the sea on the left-hand side is only three miles away. Popular with surfers and bodyboarders, it has a laid back, chilled feel and very handy parking for all your beach kit. You’re also not far from Godrevy, St Agnes and further along the coast to St Ives, Marazion and beyond to the stunning Penwith peninsula. Sennen and Porthcurno are a 50-minute drive away to the west. Set in a peaceful location it is within easy reach back to the A30 to access the north and south coasts and to the far west of Cornwall.

Tehidy Country Park is nearby; the largest area of dog friendly woodland in Cornwall with over 9 miles of woodland paths and waterways, there is also the chance to feed friendly squirrels and birds here.

Ocean Heights is available weekly from a Friday.

Booking fee:  There is a non-refundable booking fee of £35 per booking

Damage deposit:  A refundable damage deposit of £200 is payable.  This will be held until the end of the occupancy and will be returned to the guest within 2 weeks of departure, subject to deductions for any damage to property caused during the occupancy.
