A south facing sandy beach, Millendreath is just outside of the popular tourist town Looe, with a bistro cafe and boats to hire in the summer. At low tide a much larger sandy beach with rock pools and can be accessed to the east of the breakwater, but high tide tells a different story with much of the beach claimed by the sea.
Watersport enthusiasts are well catered for with Sea Explorers UK based at Millendreath Beach Resort for equipment hire, such as bodyboards, stand up paddleboards, sea scooters (you need your own wetsuit, mask and snorkel for this) and kayaks.
You won’t find any lifeguards on this beach, but there is a seasonal dog ban from May 1st to Sept 30th. While it isn’t the most picturesque beach, you will appreciate the view of Looe Island. There is also car park a few minutes from the beach and a beach café to refuel.
