St Ives Holiday Cottages

It depends on the holiday you want. Around the harbour and Downalong you're in the thick of it — galleries, restaurants and the beaches a stroll away. Porthminster offers another base within St Ives. Carbis Bay is a separate beach destination outside the town; compare the route from each cottage to the places you want to visit. Our cottage pages say exactly where each one sits.

Some do, and in St Ives that's worth its weight in gold — the old town's streets are narrow and summer parking is scarce. Each cottage page states its parking arrangement; if it matters to your party, filter for parking or ask us before you book.

Most of our St Ives cottages put you within a walk of four: Porthmeor for surf, Porthminster for calm family swimming, Porthgwidden's sheltered cove, and the harbour beach itself. The town is compact — few cottages are more than fifteen minutes from sand.

It might be at its best then. The light that made the town famous with painters is at its clearest in autumn and spring, the galleries and restaurants stay open, and the beaches empty out. Many of our cottages have log burners or hot tubs that make the shoulder seasons the knowing choice.

Plenty of our St Ives cottages welcome dogs — use the dog-friendly filter to see them. Do note the seasonal daytime dog restrictions on some St Ives beaches in high summer; Porthkidney and the coast path are glorious alternatives year-round.
