Why Porthcurno Holiday Cottages?

When you go to beautifully clean National Trust-owned Porthcurno Beach, you could be in the Mediterranean with the sparkling crystal clear azure sea and fine white shifting sand.

The south-east facing beach shelves steeply to the sea and the waves can be spectacularly forceful – we have seen many people paddling knocked over by the power of the waves, so be aware, especially for young children. The sand, however, is sheltered by rocky headlands to either side.

The colours change with the remarkable light down here so you feel you could sit or stand and simply watch the sea for hours on a bright day. If you are lucky you may spot dolphins and basking sharks in the clear waters.

Nearby is the recommended fun, quirky telegraph museum. The landmark Minack Theatre built by the visionary Rowena Cade overlooks the jaw-droppingly beautiful beach, which is out of this world. It is lovely to visit in low season when fewer people are around.
