Charming Cornish cottage nestled in the heart of St Ives
Westcott Cottage is a charming two storey, three bedroomed property with a patio garden and outside seating area which makes this a perfect stay for families or group holidays. Nestled in one of St Ives’ oldest parts – “The Warren” – you are close to everything you might need, including Porthminster beach which is approximately a 2 minute walk from the cottage. Alternatively if you fancy a stroll into town, you can walk along the Smeatons Pier with beautiful views across the bay towards Godrevy Lighthouse and the expansive ruggedness of the Cornish landscape beyond. All of St Ives’ experiences can be easily reached with a 5 minute walk from the property. A myriad of restaurants, beaches and art galleries are at your fingertips.
Westcott is located right above an all-year-round dog walking beach which makes this a perfect location for those who wish to bring their canine companions with them.
This property is very closely located to nearby bus and train services. The train station offers pay and display parking for those who wish to venture further by train and is also ideally located for access to the town centre.
Westcott Cottage is a great base for a true St Ives experience.
Please note: there is an historic footpath that runs through the courtyard to another private residence situated at the rear of the property. This walkway is only for access to the other property and is NOT open to the general public – only guests staying at the the other property have access to this footpath. The cottage is great from top to bottom, well furnished, nicely equipped with everything you could need and only a few steps from the sea front. The restaurants and scenery in St Ives were fantastic. We have a great holiday there and will be back next year.
This is a lovely cottage. Nestled right down by the beach and in the heart of St Ives. It was very warm and comfortable despite some really cold weather. The cottage is exceptionally well-equipped with a shower room and a bathroom, a washing machine and tumble dryer. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and throughout there decor and furnishings are of a high quality. We were SO lucky that we were able to bring our two house cats with us who fell in love with the underfloor heating in the bathrooms and spent most of their time baking themselves on the floor there OR watching TV in front of the log-burning stove. Thank you for a great holiday!
