Stunning property complete with sea views and hot tub

Moments from Perranuthnoe Beach – often known as Perran Sands – Trekoa’s location is simply superb. The picturesque village of Perranuthnoe sits on the south coast around a mile to the east of Marazion, with stunning views of St Michael’s Mount and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Trekoa – a name which derives from the Cornish for homestead ‘Tre’ and ‘Koa’ meaning happy in Maori – the owners have thoughtfully renovated this cottage to celebrate both New Zealand and Cornwall’s love for the great outdoors.  And that’s certainly apparent with this inspiring property.

Sleeping up to 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children (under the age of 13), this stylish property has plenty to offer for your family holiday in Cornwall. Split over two floors, there are three bedrooms in total. The upstairs embraces a neutral palette with a Scandinavian-inspired interior, pairing laidback luxury with home comforts. Bedroom one boasts a king-size bed and a floor to ceiling window to soak up the natural light and sensational sea view. The second bedroom – also with a floor to ceiling window looking out to sea – is a double with its own ensuite, complete with large walk-in shower. The third bedroom is a great space for children with two sets of bunk beds. You’ll also find the contemporary family bathroom upstairs, it’s bright with modern accents, and has a bath with shower over.

Downstairs, the living area is wonderfully spacious, in an open plan set up and is flooded with natural light. Starting with the beautifully modern and well-equipped kitchen, complete with breakfast bar and stools, guests are able to cook up a storm. There’s an integrated dishwasher, fridge freezer and Neff microwave oven, as well as an electric hob with inbuilt extractor on the hob. Coffee lovers will appreciate the Nespresso coffee machine, plus there’s a kettle and 4-slice toaster in the pantry cupboard, and a Google Smart speaker.

The modern wooden dining table, with five chairs and large bench, is well positioned next to the bi-fold doors, which not only allows for plenty of light, but also allows you to look out at the stunning sea views beyond the garden. The open-plan living space benefits from an open fire, situated between the dining area and lounge space. In the living space there’s a comfy corner sofa and separate retro-inspired leather armchair and comfy beanbag. You’ll also find a wall-mounted Sony Bravia smart TV, for when you tire of those coastal views.

The sea views are of course best appreciated from the sunken bubbling hot tub here, which is the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach and a real showstopping feature. In the garden you’ll also find a bistro set so guests can enjoy some alfresco dining with a stunning backdrop of the sea.

There’s also a utility room downstairs which has all your holiday home essentials, including a separate washer and dryer. There is also a separate WC. This property also comes with two private parking spaces.

Located a short walk from Perranuthnoe Beach, you’re also just over a mile from Marazion, or guests may want to head west to nearby Prussia Cove and Praa Sands. Wherever you choose to spend your time, you’ve chosen a special location to match a stunning property with Trekoa.

Perranuthnoe sits on the south coast around a mile to the east of Marazion, with stunning views of St Michael’s Mount and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its secluded sandy beach, with views of the rugged Cornish coast, Perranuthnoe is a rather picturesque village.

Beach lovers are spoilt with Perranuthnoe beach. Easily accessible via a slip way or some steep steps, at low tide it’s a sandy beach with some shingle, while at high tide the beach is mostly claimed by the sea. Clean with great water quality, when the conditions are right you’ll find plenty of surfers here. It’s lifeguarded during the summer months, and dogs are allowed on the beach before 8am and after 7pm from the 1st May to 30th September, outside of these months dogs are allowed at anytime.

There are three places to eat in Perranuthnoe. The Victoria Inn, just 300 metres from the beach, is one of the oldest inns in Cornwall. It also serves award-wining food, and local beverages. The Cabin sits right on top of the beach with stunning sea views. And in the heart of the village is The Peppercorn Cafe serving Cornish roasted coffee and locally sourced dishes.

Beautiful Marazion is just over a mile away and is the gateway to the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount. Follow the path of the ancient pilgrims by walking the stone and cobbled path across Mount’s Bay to reach the island, or at high tide that is a ferry that will take you out and bring you back. There are lots of water based activities for the energetic including windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet skiing and sailing. On Chapel Rock and Marazion harbour, there are numerous rock pools to explore and above the beach there is a large park for the little ones to enjoy.

Praa Sands is a 10 minute drive away, with an access to access beach, great for families and has a huge expanse of golden sands that children will love building their sandcastles in. If you wish to venture a little further afield, you’re close to Penzance. Also, the artist town of St Ives is just over 10 miles north of Perranuthnoe, where you can visit the Tate St Ives, indulge in a spot more shopping and admire the pretty backstreets. Exactly what we were looking for it made our 30th feel very special creating some beautiful memories with our babies and family.

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect

Everything was wonderful thank you! We all had a wonderful time and Trekoa was absolutely lovely. We had to leave on Friday unfortunately (I was working this weekend) but could’ve stayed forever!

Could Have Stayed Forever!
Henry, May 22

We wanted a quiet place, in a restful environment with beautiful views, and were not disappointed. We have stayed near Perranuthnoe before, but it was great to be in the centre this time, and only a minute's walk from The Victoria Inn, a very friendly pub which serves fantastic food. It's also not far from the coastal path, which is a great walk in either direction. Perranuthnoe can get very busy, so the private parking at Trekoa is a real boon. The sea views are spectacular, and it was lovely to hear the breaking waves at night. The hot tub was also a special treat

Trekoa was really fantastic!
