This beautiful character home is a two bedroom Cornish cottage ideally placed in one of Cornwall’s most iconic and picturesque villages of Mousehole. Looking out from your very own holiday cottage you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views in Cornwall which reaches out over the village harbour, to Mounts Bay and way down to the coastal cliffs of the Lizard.
The enchanting back garden area of your home displays a beautiful selection of sub tropical garden and mediterranean plantings. There are lovely seating areas leading on the way to the top terrace where you can enjoy further views of St Michael’s mount and the breathtaking sunsets which Cornwall is so famous for.
This beautifully refurbished home has a relaxed rustic and luxurious feel which just exudes the typical charm of a secret hideaway in one of the most beautiful villages in the UK.
In the main living area you have two bay windows which have built in seating areas ideal for enjoying the view to sit back and observe the village, its coastal lifestyle and native wildlife.
Other lovely features in the living area include a cosy burning stove inside a reclaimed timber mantle piece which is perfect for any time of year so you can enjoy Cornwall’s seasons all year round.
Next to the living area you have the stylish rustic kitchen with its double butler sink and polished concrete worktops an ideal space for experimenting with Cornish recipes or other delights from the cookery book collection. Next to the kitchen includes the very bespoke spacious dining area that has a hand built seating area with unusual grain sack cushions.
Leading upstairs you have an airy light bathroom with lovely character exposed beams and a very convenient walk in shower.
Then you have the main bedroom which is rather beautiful, which keeps in character retaining its exposed beams and displaying many other lovely features such as an antique Provencal chest of drawers, Moroccan atmospheric ceiling lanterns dotted around and a stunning deep copper bath to dip into. You can even see across to the iconic St Michael’s Mount when your having a restorative soak in the tub listening to the sound of the sea before retiring to the very comfortable kingsize bed.
The second bedroom is also a tranquil area which over looks the beautiful gardens and the sleeping arrangements can be made as a twin room or as a king size bed which ever suits your families or groups preference.

. In areas the terraced gardens and path leading to the top terrace can be steep so for children and elderly guests please be careful
. Pet friendly – the far south west is an amazing location for dogs
. Parking – There are marked spaces at Raginnis Hill and there is the harbour car park a few moments away which is three pounds a day. At the entrance of the village there is also a large car park next to the Old Coast Guard Hotel.
Situated south of Penzance on the west coast of Cornwall is Mousehole. Mousehole’s history is that of a bustling fishing port up until about a hundred years ago. Today, Mousehole welcomes tourists to its quaint village streets that invite you to explore what is around the next corner. Your Cornish cottage will be the perfect place to discover Mousehole and its surrounding neighbours from.

Mousehole Beach is sandy and within the harbour walls, or a short drive out can find out Newlyn Tolcarne Beach, Penzance Promenade Beach, Wherrytown Beach or Battery Rocks Beach.

If you are planning a winter getaway, then it is well worth considering visiting in December when the village puts on a wonderful display of Christmas lights. The harbour has floating light displays and opening night usually sees the local choir singing festive songs, a lantern parade and much more besides.
