The elevated position means this gorgeous property benefits from stunning views across St Ives Bay from St Ives harbour, best enjoyed from your outdoor terrace, where you can see across to the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse. Simply follow the coast path, which is on your doorstep, and you’ll be at award-winning Carbis Bay beach in just three minutes.
Owl’s Nest is well equipped for your beach holiday. Sleeping four, lower level apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Down the exterior steps, you’ll enter Owl’s Nest on the upper level, where you’ll find two immaculate bedrooms and the contemporary bathroom, which features a large walk-in shower complete with complimentary Cornish toiletries to wash away a day spent at the beach.
The master bedroom, is at the rear of the apartment, coming complete with stunning sea views, it features a double bed with plenty of built-in storage, meanwhile the second bedroom, at the front of the property, is set up as a twin, but also features built-in wardrobes. On this upper level you’ll also find a well-equipped modern kitchen which comes with a suite of built-in Bosch appliances, including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven and hob. There’s also a convenient coffee machine to kickstart your day.
Walk down the four steps and you’ll find the living/diner, where there’s two plush sofas, a wooden dining table with two benches, plus a smartTV for when you tire of the sea views. The modern dining table comfortably seats four, and one of Owl’s Nest highlights has to be the ocean-facing terrace, which features an outdoor dining table with seating for four. Accessed via the French doors, it’s the perfect spot if you fancy dining alfresco or to enjoy your morning coffee, or perhaps a glass of fizz as the sun goes down.
There’s a stunning communal garden at Owl’s Nest which is shared between Godrevy Court apartments, bursting with flowers and foliage, it’s a sea-view sanctuary for soaking up the Cornish sun. The garden at Owl’s Nest sits just behind the quaint single-track railway, perhaps the most scenic in the UK, hop onboard and you can be in St Ives in just three minutes, with track links to St Erth, Penzance and mainline stations, making this an ideal location to enjoy a car-free holiday. Activities
When holidaying in Carbis Bay look no further than Carbis Bay Beach. The proud recipient of a Blue Flag award, meaning it is a super-clean beach. Perfect for families with young children, the water is just right for swimming, and usually free of surfers/body boarders. If you prefer to sunbathe and relax, the spotlessly clean beach is around a mile long. With a beautifully clear sea, this fine beach is quiet; wonderful, too, for a sunset walk.
If a spa day is up your street, try the Carbis Bay Hotel’s C Bay Spa, which also has some fantastic eateries if you need to refuel for lunch, or perhaps looking for a romantic dinner out.
Situated two miles from St Ives along the coast path, it’s a wonderful stroll. Or you can hop on the St Ives Bay line at Carbis Bay for a short but pretty train ride. For beach lovers, there are plenty to choose from… Porthmeor Beach, Porthgwidden Beach, Godrevy, Porthkidney Beach to name but a few. Families and couples will enjoy relaxing on the sand or playing in the water. St Ives Surf School offers sessions for surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering. All great fun! If you prefer to stay a little drier though, St Ives Boat Trips run sea-life safaris to see the local dolphins and seals!
One of St Ives most well-known attractions is the Tate St Ives, which is one of only four Tate galleries in the UK and is a haven for lovers of modern art. Artists praise St Ives for its beautiful light and it has inspired many pieces.
The cobbled streets of St Ives are home to many shops, galleries and cafes and most businesses are small independents or artisans. Check out Cornwall Soapbox for handmade soaps and aromatherapy products made in Cornwall!
When visiting St Ives, there are many bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. Porthminster Kitchen regularly receives great reviews and has a strong focus on fresh local food or head to Blas Burgerworks for a tasty handcrafted burger using ingredients sourced from the area.
St Ives sits at the bottom of the A30, so if you are looking to explore more of the Cornwall coast, then this is a great base and you can book ferries for day trips to the Scilly Isles from Penzance (only a 20 minute drive away).

So glad I found it through Cornish Secrets
We stayed at OWLS NEST at Carbis Bay in July - absolutely LOVED it! Such a wonderful home - did not feel like a holiday let at all. So many lovely little touches and everything in amazing condition. Lots of welcome goodies (unexpected), wonderful views, fantastic linen, towels, toiletries and crockery. Did not seem to be anything missing that we needed. We fell in love with this beautiful home and the owner (Louise) could not have been more helpful/available when I messaged her. A really really lovely property that we WILL be back to stay at.

What a find!
We booked last minute for an end of September week and could not believe our luck. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. It was lovely to be left tea and coffee etc, biscuits, fruit juice, cereal, a selection of jams and bread. We felt welcomed! The bathroom is modern with a great shower and the bed was comfy. The double aspect living room has great views and the communal gardens are very well looked after.
