Bright and airy retreat in a wonderful location
Brilliantly situated close to Lelant Station, this peaceful little property in Rosamund Pilcher country provides a perfect way to avoid parking in St Ives, yet is close enough to enjoy and engage with the vibrant and art-filled town.
The train to St Ives, on the picturesque St Ives Bay line, takes around 10 minutes. Alternatively, it is only a 2+ mile (4 km) walk via Carbis Bay, or longer if you take the scenic coastal path.
Small, but perfectly formed and cleverly designed, this contemporary light and cosy retreat for 2-4 people is in a wonderful location which is stylishly airy and light.
Close to dog-friendly Porthkidney Beach, perfect for swimming and surfing, it has one bedroom (with a sofa bed in the lounge), a wet room with shower, a fully-equipped kitchenette-diner, breakfast bar, enclosed patio area, Smart TV and parking. The lounge and bedroom both open out towards the patio which has a table and seating to enjoy a snack or drink outside in the sun-trap garden.
Lelant is described by Muddy Stilettos as an “upmarket village with well-connected beachside living in a quiet and exclusive seaside enclave”. Situated on the beautiful Hayle Estuary, where it is less than a mile from the RSPB site, the village has a deli bistro, pub, wine store, and a heritage centre/cafe for a Cornish cream tea. A perfect spot for a short break.
Stroll down to Porthkidney Beach where you can watch the kite surfers.
The estuary is a fascinating place to look out for all different kinds of birds such as Little Egrets, Herons and Oystercatchers.
Take a short train ride to St Ives and there you are spoilt with more stunning beaches such as Porthminster, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden all suitable for family swimming and watersports.
For surfers you can visit the top surfing spots in the area such as Gwithian and Godrevy, or join St Ives Surf School.
