About

A beautifully restored welcoming home, which boasts striking historic architecture, Brock’s Beach House is a unique find nestled in the coastal village of Crackington Haven. This luxurious five-bedroom retreat seamlessly blends character with contemporary design, offering guests an exceptional stay, where they’ll be spoilt by sea views, a bubbling hot tub, plenty of space and lavish touches throughout.

Situated just a two-minute drive or a ten-minute downhill stroll to sandy Crackington Haven beach – which proudly won a Seaside Award in 2025 – the village is deemed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering stunning coastal walks and breath-taking scenery, not forgetting a small cluster of fabulous cafes and a village pub at your disposal.

Location aside, Brock’s Beach House is a stunning family home. At its heart is the expansive open-plan living area, flooded by natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows that frame panoramic sea views and surrounding countryside. The space features a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including wine cooler, Neff Slide and Hide oven and generous island with bar stools.

There’s a spacious dining area, seating ten with ease, and a comfortable lounge perfect for relaxation with its plush curved sofa, 55-inch smartTV and sliding double doors leading onto a patio and providing a stunning coastal backdrop. In the adjacent room, guests can enjoy a dedicated games area equipped with a multi-games table, providing entertainment for guests of all ages. Plus, an elegant “cocktail corner,” ideal for evening relaxation.

The luxury continues to the sleeping quarters, where guests can choose from one of the five thoughtfully designed bedrooms, with high-quality linens and tasteful neutral decor. The master bedroom takes centre stage on the ground floor; a serene king-size room with an en-suite bathroom featuring a freestanding double-ended bath tub and separate walk-in shower, plus there’s direct access to a small terrace with stunning sea views.

There are two further bedrooms on this floor, one a flexible room that can be configured as a super-king or twin with access to the sea-view terrace, and a further cosy double. These bedrooms share the contemporary family bathroom with rich turquoise tiling and gold accents, plus a bath with shower over. The two remaining bedrooms are on the upper level. Both boasting lavish king-size beds, ensuite shower rooms. Additionally, there’s a cosy nook, on this upper mezzanine level. It’s the perfect spot for reading or enjoying a family movie night with the 55-inch smartTV, or if work calls there’s a convenient designated working space with large desk and chair.

There’s ample parking for four cars, an EV charger (small extra charge), large private garden and patio with seen-to-be-believed sea views. Outside you’ll find a comfy Maze garden furniture set and glass table, plus a L’Bode Cube Corten Edition fire pit, for atmosphere and cosiness while the Cornish skies put on an impressive display. But the best bit? Watch the sun set over the sea from the lavish hot tub, with fabulous panoramas. There’s no doubt about it, Brock’s Beach House provides a unique blend of historical chapel architecture and modern luxury, making it an ideal choice for families or groups seeking a memorable coastal getaway in Cornwall.

Activities

A two-minute drive, or ten-minute downhill walk and you’ll arrive at Crackington Haven. Nestled between dramatic cliffs and lush green hills, the beach is a sheltered, pebbly beach that transforms into golden sand at low tide, revealing rock pools perfect for exploring. The beach is lifeguarded in summer, making it safe for swimming and popular with bodyboarders. The village offers essential amenities including The Cabin Cafe, the Coombe Barton Inn pub, and a village shop. With access to the South West Coast Path, it’s ideal for walkers seeking scenic cliff-top views.

You’re not far from popular Cornish villages, Boscastle (7 miles) and Tintagel (9 miles), or head to Trebarwith Strand (14 miles), with its sea-view pub and fabulous beach. If you’re looking to discover hidden coves, nearby you’ll find Strangles Beach and Millook Haven, both worth a visit.

When heading north, the next largest beach is Widemouth Bay, which sits just a couple of miles south of Bude and while it benefits from all that Bude has to offer, is a slightly quieter setting. It is a beachside village dotted with cafes and bars, plus everything you need for a great day at the beach. Surf hire and surf schools are available and there is a very chilled out feeling to this area.

Bude is a 10 mile drive away and there are two sandy beaches located in the town itself, Summerleaze Beach and Crooklets Beach. Both have beach huts available for hire and overlooking Summerleaze Beach is the Bude Sea Pool, which is a free tidal swimming pool that is run and maintained by a team of volunteers (so donations are welcomed). Other beaches only a couple of miles away from Bude are Northcott Mouth and Sandymouth Beach, all of which showcase dramatic scenery.

If you are seeking an active holiday, then Bude has a number of surf, paddleboard and adventure activity schools to help you have fun, whilst staying safe. Bude’s beaches are favoured with surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders. There are surf hire huts too, for those who are just ‘trying it out’.

The Bude canal has fun for all the family with pedal boats and rowing boats for hire, followed by a spot of shopping on the canal side at The Wharf, where you will find many local artisan items for sale. Throughout summer, there is also the Bude Farmers Market held each Friday and you can also find a proper Cornish ice-cream here to cool down with.

“Just wanted to share some love for this fabulous property, having had the best time there with friends at half term.

Really cannot recommend enough for the most picturesque landscapes and sunsets, it’s brilliantly located for the beach and welcoming village pub, and the owners have thought of every detail to make staying there an easy pleasure. What we loved about it was that you could do as much or as little as you felt like; there’s a plethora of panoramic walks, water sports or local attractions to enjoy, equally you could do nothing but relax in the garden or hot tub…and the beds are so comfy we all slept well. We thought it was great for all ages and cannot wait to return when the opportunity arises”.
