Truly spectacular secluded cottage
Beagle Cottage is a newly renovated, truly spectacular property in the peaceful hamlet of Trowan – a special secret beauty spot on the Cornish coast. Just a mile and a half away are the world-class beaches, attractions and amenities of St Ives, one of the most delightful towns in Cornwall.
With sweeping sea views, Beagle Cottage is set in over 30 acres of private, idyllic countryside making it a perfect place to rest, relax and revitalise.
Watching a breath-taking sunrise or magical sunset, from either of the cottage’s patios or from the comfortable living room, is an absolute must.
The spacious Cottage has been renovated to superior interior standards complemented with a backdrop of the ever-changing coastal views. It has all the practicalities covered with private parking and home comforts like underfloor heating and two wood-burning stoves.
This lovingly-styled home has 3 beautiful bedrooms all with contemporary en-suite facilities. The master bedroom, with a king-sized bed, has a sea view and patio doors directly into the garden. The second king bedroom has vaulted ceilings with a glimpse of Rosewall Hill, its en-suite has a roll top bath and sea views – the perfect place to relax after a day out. The third bedroom is a lovely twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
The kitchen and dining space are set to impress with high vaulted ceilings and light streaming through windows and Velux facing 360 degrees – this spacious room really is the hub of life here. Take the time to prepare a family feast at the farmhouse table or to enjoy planning a day out around the breakfast bar. Equally you can retreat and take time out on the cosy sofa in front of the wood-burner with a coffee quietly reading a book or watching the wildlife, clouds and far-reaching coastal views.
The separate lounge has a wood-burning stove and chesterfield sofas for cosy winter evenings and large triple section sliding doors to open on sunny summer days.
An enclosed, established garden with fantastic sea views, makes a perfect breakfast spot or for alfresco dining and watching the beautiful sundowners.
Perfectly located to enjoy and explore the South West Coast Path and some of the UK’s finest coastal scenery with tempting cafes and public houses on the way.
Just a short walk, drive or taxi will take you to St Ives where you will find the world famous Tate gallery, Leech Pottery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. Visit the picturesque harbour and cobbled streets and enjoy one of the town’s many excellent restaurants, bars, cafes, shops.
To the west of Trowan is the lovely village of Zennor accessed along the coastal road, field path or the stunning Coast Path. It has a homely pub, The Tinners Arms, the indulgent Moomaid of Zennor Café and Ice-cream and the ancient church telling the historic tale of the famous Mermaid of Zennor. A little further you will find the renowned gastro-pub the Gurnards Head.
Guests are welcome to enjoy a walk around the private land and take their dog to explore but we kindly request that they are kept on a lead as we have resident young Cows in some fields. Small, well-behaved dogs by prior appointment only please.
