Charming country cottage near St Ives

Enjoy the magic of St Ives in this charming Cornish getaway, a two-storey country cottage with extensive views towards the glistening sea and the nearby town of St Ives, known for its art and perfect light.

The sunshine floods this individually designed accommodation. Bijou, bright and airy, with its own enclosed garden, this wonderfully welcoming cottage, perfectly situated in the clifftop hamlet of Trowan is but a 30-40 minute walk from St Ives along the scenic coastal path. That will get your step count up in the most spectacular way, with unmissable views of the ocean as you walk. Alternatively, St Ives is mere minutes away by car.

Stylish and cosy with excellent views, you have the vibrance of St Ives not far from your door but the peace and tranquility needed for incredibly romantic sunsets – and star-studded evenings when skies are clear. Privately set within a hamlet, it is a beautifully peaceful place to enjoy the sunshine during the daytime, too.

Inside, the bespoke kitchen and dining area are perfect for 4 people, but can accommodate up to 6, with granite surfaces, slate floors and even a smugglers’ hide, while the large lounge has a woodburning stove, smart TV and big sofas to sink into. Double doors lead to the enclosed garden from where you can hear the sea.

The master bedroom, which floods with light, has a triple aspect with a comfortable king size bed, ensuite shower room and character vaulted ceiling. Across the hall lies a twin room, also with a vaulted ceiling, which has additional pull-out trundle beds, and skylight windows best designed to watch the stars. With toys and a desk for play or work, why not relax in the rocking chair over a bedtime story?

The main bathroom has a bath to lie back in and relax, and an over shower.

The walk to St Ives may well be a holiday highlight as you breathe in the fresh sea air in this heavenly spot. The hamlet of Trowan is at least 700 years old, so teems with history. It was once an abandoned and derelict farm before being brought back to life as a modern hamlet, which is now a wonderful mix of residential and holiday accommodation.

The views are amazing. From the clifftop, you can see as far as Godrevy Lighthouse and right round the bay, in this incredible place to stay.
