If it’s golden sand, and shallow water for a doggy paddle you’re after then it has to be nearby Harbour Cove is less than two miles away via the coast path. Or nearby, National Trust’s Trevose Head is a ‘two pawprint’ rated place for dog walks, and the scenery is just epic.
For a traditional Cornish pub, try The Shipwrights who are very happy to host you and your dog. It’s a beautiful traditional brick built pub on the far side of the harbour, and your pooch can even be treated to a pint of its dog beer, Proper Dog! Or no trip to Padstow is complete without visiting one of Rick Stein’s restaurants… his French outpost St Petroc’s Bistro welcomes dogs outside and in the bar area.
