Head to Cornwall’s capital this October for a weekend of delicious food, fabulous music and a whole lot of fun

The ILOW team, who currently operate the Porthleven and St Ives Food Festivals, are bringing a new city-based foodie event to Cornwall.

Taking place in the county’s capital, this city-wide free-to-attend celebration of Cornish food and drink will take place on Lemon Quay, from Friday 1st October to Sunday 3rd October. The Truro Food Festival will officially be opened with a charity benefit gig with all profits donated to the Trussell Trust, a charity that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK.

Visitors will get the opportunity to watch some of the best the UK’s culinary masters share their recipes live at the Chef’s Theatre. Audiences will be able to learn from the best with cooking demonstrations by top chefs from Truro and beyond. Chefs Jack Stein, Ping Coombes (winner of MasterChef 2014) Jude Kereama and Andrew Tuck will all headline the Chef demo stage, showcasing some of their closely guarded cooking secrets.

During the daytime at Truro Food Festival there will also be an array of gourmet street food stalls and local produce market – to offer a gastronomic experience in the heart of the city. Bringing a selection of food and drink brands alongside independent producers and artisan makers of authentic local and seasonal produce, so make sure you arrive peckish! And in the evening victors can expect a beer and cider festival and live music to enjoy.

The festival takes place on Lemon Quay, Truro, TR1 2EH. The event is free to attend but donations are welcome. Opening on Friday 1st October (9am – 7pm) and closing on Sunday 3rd October (10am – 5pm).
