Parking – Looe

Date Posted: 24 Jun 2020

Lovely Looe is a town of two seasons. In mid-low season, finding a parking space is relatively easy with car parks and street parking readily available. However, during the peak-season, Looe is not the best place to park so for the easiest way, follow our parking suggestions.

Divided by the river, Looe has two sides, east and west. The Riverbank in East Looe, is the car park most visitors head for. Its closeness to the town centre makes it an obvious choice, but it fills quickly as it only has 65 spaces.

A smaller car park can be found between the surgery and the petrol station on the A387. Again this car park tends to fill up quickly during the busier months.

Kilminorth Woods is a little further out along that road but again only has 24 spaces and is really for people walking in the oak valley.

The Quayside in West Looe offers a small number of spaces only, so what to do?

Here is the solution.

Across the river, in West Looe, The Millpool car park on the Polperro road, is the largest car park in the town (964 spaces) but a mere 5-minute walk from the town centre. There are also public toilets to be found near the town entrance of the car park, so it simply makes good sense to park here. 24 hours of parking is only £10, too, so you can enjoy a stress-free good day out for a reasonable price.
