Stunning views, combined with the possibility of an adventure that connects you with nature, make Kudhva a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. ‘Kudhva’ is the Cornish word for a hideout and this holiday accommodation has four inspired hideouts (Kudhvas) set in nature, near Tintagel Cornwall.
Each Kudhva was purposefully designed by architect, Louise, to intertwine with nature and create a space where visitors can reconnect with Cornwall’s natural environment. Providing a setting for visitors to disconnect from the pressures of modern life is a central concept at this unique site.
Each Kudhva is designed to be a sanctuary, built with three legs raised 8ft from the floor, which allow you to see nature from another perspective. Local wildlife, including deer, regularly visit the site, wandering under and around the Kudhvas. The thoughtfully designed floor to ceiling windows give spectacular views to Gull Rock, Kirin Island and the Polzeath Headland.
The site is set on an abandoned quarry that closed in the 1890s and the presence of the slate and the nature of the landscape are very much incorporated into this stunning site.
