Porthleven Food Festival is one of Cornwall’s biggest food events and not to be missed. In 2026 it takes place at Porthleven Harbour from 24–26 April, bringing three days of delicious cuisine, chef demonstrations, live music and family entertainment to this picturesque harbour town.
A not-for-profit event presented in partnership with acclaimed local chef Jude Kereama, Porthleven Food Festival celebrates the very best of Cornwall’s food and drink scene. The festival brings together local producers, street food traders and restaurants, alongside a vibrant programme of fringe events and family-friendly activities around the harbour.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore a wide range of food stalls, artisan producers and pop-up kitchens serving everything from fresh seafood to sweet treats. The popular Chef’s Theatre also returns, featuring a line-up of talented British chefs showcasing local ingredients and sharing cooking tips through live demonstrations.
Entry to the daytime festival is free, although some evening events such as supper clubs and special experiences may require tickets.
If you’re planning to visit by car, it’s recommended not to drive directly into the centre of Porthleven during the festival. A dedicated festival car park is usually located at Methleigh Farm, costing around £10 per car and including a free park and ride service into the harbour.
This event sees thousands flock to the harbour town of Porthleven, so by choosing a property nearby you’ll be well located to soak up the best bits of this three-day festival.
If you like to think of yourself as a bit of a dab hand in the kitchen yourself, you won’t be disappointed in the stunning kitchens at our Porthleven cottages. Enjoy sea views while you cook from contemporary Trekoa with its stunning coastal outlook, or the kitchen at Libertine is a chef’s dream, fitted with high spec, streamlined Smeg and Gaggenhau equipment. This award-winning festival has been enjoyed by visitors and locals alike for over 15 years, first launching in 2009 by a dedicated committee looking to share Cornwall’s culinary delights. After a successful first year, the festival has since grown ever since, scooping plenty of awards and recognition over the years.
