A few beaches have seasonal restrictions. Porth Beach limits dogs during parts of the summer, while Tolcarne Beach has seasonal rules set by the private beach owners. Great Western Beach also has restrictions on parts of the beach during the main holiday season, so it's worth checking local signage before you visit.

Look for an enclosed garden or secure outdoor space if your dog needs room to roam safely, ground-floor access to avoid tricky stairs, and easy proximity to walking routes or beaches. Autumn and winter visits are particularly rewarding — fewer people, dogs welcome on more beaches, and the coastal scenery at its most elemental.

To help keep our dog-friendly holiday homes in excellent condition for every guest, we ask that dogs are never left unattended in the property. Please keep dogs off all furniture and soft furnishings, including sofas, cushions and throws, and do not allow them upstairs or into bedrooms. We recommend bringing your dog's own bed, basket and blankets to help them settle in comfortably. After walks, especially on the beach or in muddy conditions, please make sure your dog is clean and completely dry before coming indoors.
