The Old Press is a truly breath-taking holiday destination. Nestled in the quiet countryside just outside the town of Hayle, it is the perfect destination for those that want some privacy after a long day of exploring Cornwall’s beautiful beaches and historic towns.

The Old Press still maintains some of its original features including the old apple press (this can be seen in the bathroom) and is the perfect blend of past meeting the present. Striking Cornish granite walls and arches blend seamlessly with a modern contemporary sense of decorative style.

The Old Press has without a doubt everything that you could wish for during your stay. Two large double bedrooms with an additional single or double bedroom (or snug) – all of which are tastefully decorated in vibrant neutral colours.

A beautiful open planned kitchen with its striking granite wall and archway is fitted out with all modern appliances and the adjoining dining room has a large hand crafted dining table that can comfortably seat eight people and patio doors lead out to the gardens.

The striking bathroom with its crisp lines, wall length mirror and a brand new bathroom suite makes getting ready for a day of exploring Cornwall’s beautiful beaches and rugged coastlines a simple joy.

The Old Press is a property that exudes character with many features that make the house a true original with its Cornish granite staircase, exposed walls and other hidden gems that we’ll leave you to discover for yourself. The ancient meets the modern as the décor blends with the original granite building.

The Old Press is deceptively bright throughout with the architect making full use of wide tall windows that let in light throughout the day and the glass panelled ceiling above the unique granite staircase will have you looking up at the crisp blue skies with a smile on your face.

The Old Press is nestled in the quiet countryside and its landscaped gardens make sitting in the sun a true joy. To the rear is a stunning garden with plenty of outdoor seating for alfresco dining or chilling with a crisp cold glass of wine. Bordered by a vibrancy of colourful shrubs and trees you can sit and enjoy the solitude that The Old Press affords you. Nestled beneath a wonder of Cornish palms is a working outdoor wood burner so the enjoyment doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down (yes, even here in Cornwall the sun has to set) and you’ll soon be star gazing as the night slowly washes over you.

Shingled pathways lead you through the sculptured gardens that border the property on all sides and a myriad of plants and flowers fill the air with the scent of their blossoms and several features truly capture the eye – the wood burner, the tiered gardens with their railway sleeper fences and a symphony of Cornish palms really hit the senses.

NB there are currently building works being carried out at the neighbouring property and there may be some noise disruption at times.
